Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
CarCabin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes vehicle research using public datasets. This policy describes what limited information we collect when you visit carcabin.com and how that information is used.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool, to count page views and understand which sections of the site are useful. Umami does not set cookies, does not use cross-site tracking, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Aggregate metrics include the referring URL, page path, browser, country, and device type.
Cookies
CarCabin does not set tracking cookies. The site may set strictly necessary cookies for basic functionality such as remembering your last comparison.
Calculators
All calculator inputs and results stay in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or share calculator data with any third party.
Affiliate links
When CarCabin links to vehicle history reports, insurance comparison tools, or auto-loan platforms, those links may pay us a commission if you purchase. Affiliate links never affect editorial rankings, and we disclose this on How we make money.
California (CCPA) and Colorado (CPA) rights
If you live in California or Colorado, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale. Because we collect no personally identifiable information through analytics, there is generally nothing on file to delete or sell. If you have a specific request, contact us via the contact page.
Children
CarCabin is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
